Eagle Modern Academy (EMA) is dedicated to guiding students toward discovering their unique path in life. At the heart of its mission is founder Tania López De Pelsmaeker’s belief that every individual has a talent waiting to be uncovered and empowered. She envisions a world where people dedicate their lives to professions they truly enjoy, creating happier, more fulfilled citizens who provide higher-quality services and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Tania emphasizes that this journey of self-discovery must begin at an early age, laying the foundation for passions that grow into successful and fulfilling careers.
Tania’s passion for education was deeply influenced by her family’s history. She grew up inspired by her grandmother’s lifelong dedication to education and with the knowledge that her European migrant grandfather was able to start a new life in America solely because of his diplomas. These stories shaped her conviction from an early age:
“Education is the key to thriving in life.”
EMA’s name honors a family legacy: a prestigious bilingual, coeducational school in Mexico City founded by her grandmother in 1965, which served students for over 65 years. With more than 25 years of experience at the original school and a graduate degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, Tania brings a wealth of educational expertise to this modern platform. Eagle Modern Academy was officially founded in 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.
